Professional Referral gives you several important tools that enable you to generate and manage professional referral requests.
■ You can narrow your selection criteria of professionals with preferences like location or gender.
■ You can view only relevant provider candidates based on the criteria you enter, and who is currently subscribed to the service. The candidates with the fewest referrals display at the top of the list.
■ You can select candidates returned by your search and dynamically view their complete record of information including name, address, office location, specialties, and insurance.
■ When you select candidates for referral, you can then enter contact information about the client requesting the service. This information is available for generating reports for your providers which detail the referral requests received and fulfilled.
Professional Referral Features
The iMIS Professional Referral module is integrated into the iMIS system such that it capitalizes on data and systems existing elsewhere in your database.
■ Professional Referrals works with the Customer Management and Billing modules to coordinate subscriptions with the referral service and to determine current eligibility for participation.
■ Specifying your search criteria lets you customize the referral for your client’s needs. You can specify up to four additional customer fields to serve as search criteria.
■ A zip/area option lets iMIS preferentially locate a zone or area based on the client’s zip code. iMIS can search for a specific zip code, a zip code area (all zip codes beginning with a set of three digits), or no zip code restriction.
■ By editing the text in your formal letters, you can customize your policy statements and insert merge fields for seamless, personalized output.
Navigation for Referrals
The Referrals task list displays when you select Referrals from the navigation bar.
■ Manage referrals - Select this task list item to open the Manage referrals window that allows you to enter and manage professional referral requests.
■ Generate reports - Select this task list item to open the Generate reports window that allows you to print detailed rosters, overall status summaries, and letters.
■ Set up module - Select this task list item to open the Set up module window that allows you to define your Referrals system preferences.
■ Create referral orders - Select this task list item to create referral orders.
■ Delete expired - Select this task list item to open the Deleted expired window that allows you to delete expired referrals, customers, and providers.
■ Rebuild search indexes - Select this task list item to rebuild your list of referrals.
